SCRAP 2 RELAX RETREAT
Last weekend I was Lucky enough to be able to take some time for myself and enjoy a weekend away at the Scrap 2 Relax Retreat which is an annual event. I arrived at our retreat in the late afternoon on Friday and Got straight into the crafting weekend with some lovely and talented ladies.
Although I didn't get everything done that was on my list ( I think I had high expectations of what I was going to get accomplished ) I did get quite a few projects done.
My first Project was a shadow box made by La La land Crafts
The Shadow box was quite easy to assemble and all I added was the great stamped image of Mermaid Marci coloured with my copics a few papers and a few very cute seaside friend chipboards coloured and covered in glossy accents and of course a little bit of pearl bling cause what project is complete without some bling. All these items including the wonderful Copic markers can be purchased from the wonderful Karen at Scrap 2 Relax
Then that evening after our very yummy dinner I took part in a workshop with the very Talented Ms Bobbie-Lee teaching us canvas art and this is what I accomplished under Bobbie-Lee's instructions
I was very pleased with this finished project and it was so easy! Thank-you Bobbie-Lee for such a great class
The next morning was my turn to teach a class of very eager beavers my project was a twisted easel card using the very pretty darkroom door photo chips this is the finished project
This is another easy workshop that all the ladies enjoyed and we defiantly had some very lovely finished projects
I had a few hours of colouring after my class and finished my Design Team challenge card which I will post tomorrow when our challenge goes live
I then finished a few very sweet cards again using some La La land craft stamps and finished these three cards
The next Project was joining in on a Scrapbooking class with the very talented Julie and I was able to accomplish yet another scrapbook page
Now this page is not quite finished, as I enjoyed it so much I decided I needed to make it into a two page layout. Which I shall put up as soon as I have it finished.
Thank you Julie for a wonderful and inspiring scrapbook class.
Feeling very inspired after Julies amazing workshop I attempted the Scrap 2 Relax June monthly scrapbook kit challenge and this is what I finished
This was a great little kit to play with and was packed full with papers, buttons and bling. It was a great challenge to take part of as the colour combinations and papers are not what I would usually work with. So it really does make you think a little outside the box and I was really pleased with my finished page, and who knows I might even win a voucher from Scrap 2 Relax and my next kit for Free that would be a bonus LOL!
You too should have a go at the Monthly kit challenges at Scrap 2 Relax
there is Scrapbooking and card making Kits and great vouchers for the winners of each monthly challenge.
My last project wasn't quite finished I started another La La land craft box in an oriental theme and because I am so excited about this project I'll give you a sneak peak of my unfinished 3D item
I am very excited to get this finished. Its just a bummer that reality has kicked in and I am back at work and there is no time for crafting for the next few days :(
But hopefully I'll get it finished soon and I'll show you all my finished Project.
Now I hope you enjoyed my little show and tell of all the things I made at the Rawson Scrap 2 Relax retreat. I am already looking forward to attending next years retreat on the 30th of May to the 1st of June next yearand Karen is already taking names for the next one!
So why not come and join us for a Awesome weekend Retreat!
Happy Stamping
